Sand Beach is a popular summertime destination on Park Loop Road. Surrounded by cliffs, this small stretch of coast is the largest sandy beach in Acadia, according to the National Park Service website. Sand Beach in Acadia National Park is on the east side of Mount Desert Island in Maine.
