The Ace by Mocean is a nimble, stable, and fast thermoformed ABS kayak weighing 42 pounds. It won the Paddling Industry Award for Best Recreational Kayak thanks to its higher volume shape, chined hull, and anatomically correct seating.

The Ace, new for 2026, is equipped with large hatches fore and aft, enabling overnight paddling adventures or action packed daytrips.

This medium to larger volume 12' vessel comfortably fits paddlers up to 180 pounds who are under 6' 1" tall. The Ace is ideal for paddlers between 125 and 160 pounds.

Whether you are paddling as part of your workout routine, or covering miles and miles of water surface, it has enough depth and flare in the bow and foredeck areas that it can withstand light swells and heavy chop with relative ease.

The deck arches high ahead of the cockpit to clear spray and provide ample interior room.

The front and rear bulkhead-partitioned hatches are spacious--big enough to handle a soft cooler, some camping gear; certainly a couple of days of supplies. The hatch systems are watertight and use thermoplastic convexed partition walls with sealant for a reliable seal.

The molded handles are contoured for comfortable lifting.

The deck rigging uses recessed and stainless hardware.

The adjustble foot braces are bolted into stand-off wall sections—not through the hull (unlike other brands)--to improve foot room, leg alignment, and prevent hull stress.

The seat is designed to cradle the paddler with extra cushion and hip support and it includes a seat back that can be raised from a traditional sea or whitewater kayaking height (lower back) up to a middle back level. It can be angled backward or forward using a cinch-and-lock toggle. The seat base can be slid forward or back for distributing the weight of the paddler based on tracking and handling preferences.

The easy to reach gear track accepts mounted fishing, camera, phone, and storage box accessories from brands like YakAttack, YakGadget, and Scotty.

A dual purposes handle with a clip molded into its surface is located behind the seat. It provides a grab point for the paddler and also a clip to "snap" the paddle into.

The quality of the ABS plastic exceeds industry standards and the meticulous fabrication methods and quality of adhesives used are apparent.
