Refined for 2026, this latest Byron 10'6 version is a true all-rounder paddleboard, built to handle the widest range of conditions without feeling like a compromise. At less than 17 pounds, only 4.7" thick, and inflatable up to 20 PSI, this is a remarkable board.

The Byron 10'6 is the board people fall in love with. It is widely considered the board the sets the standard for performance and quality at an acceptable price. Upon experiencing a Byron for the first time, you will instantly notice its incredible rigidity, quality of construction, low profile, and shockingly low weight.  For 2026, the Byron now features a more versatile deck rigging system which provides more space, more tie-down options, and a removable bungee setup you can adapt to your trip needs.

At 4.7" thick, the Byron keeps you closer to the water than a standard 6" inflatable, so it feels more connected and responsive when the surface gets textured. It’s built with our latest X‑Woven & Fused drop-stitch construction and heat-welded rails, now finished with X‑Woven ClearSkin, a transparent outer layer that lets you see the woven nylon reinforcement inside.

Underfoot, the deck is now equipped with Honu's newly designed EVA foam traction pad. It incorporates a thumbprint pattern engineered for wet grip, all-day comfort, and better water drainage than its predecessor. Unchanged is the kick pad that extends from the deck surface in the shape of a wedge. This creates a foot-pressable "lever" to lift the bow out of the water for short turns.

Honu also redesigned the already incredible roller bag from the ground up: more storage, more pockets for easy organization, and a stowable waist belt that you can tuck way when it's not needed.

VERSATILE SHAPE

Stability without compromise.
Shaped like a classic longboard surfboard, the Byron is built to feel confidence-inspiring across the widest range of conditions, from calm water cruising to playful small-wave sessions. The 32" width carries forward without tapering away too early, giving you a stable, planted platform that feels predictable when the water gets bumpy. A squared-off tail adds even more stability and makes step-back turns feel approachable, so you can progress your technique without the board feeling twitchy or demanding.

Despite its length, the Byron 10'6 is highly controllable with its added touch of a kick pad combined with the stiff board edges and bow rocker rarely found with other brands.

Honu Boards are unrivaled with their triple reinforced rigidity, low profile stability, drop-stitched and heat welded (no glues!) durability, and quality of materials--from how they are bagged to how the valves are constructed for exceptional ease and reliability.

LIGHT & RIGID

Strength without the weight.
The Byron hits the rare intersection of being genuinely lightweight, yet impressively rigid and responsive on the water, and that pairing is a big reason it’s loved worldwide. At just 7.6 kg (16.7 lbs), it’s easy to carry, pack, and move around on the beach, but once you’re paddling it feels crisp underfoot, not soft or springy. Every stroke feels more efficient, every weight shift more direct, and the board stays composed when conditions change.

A TRUE ALL-ROUNDER

Built to be your go-to SUP.
If you can only have one paddleboard in your garage, the Byron is the one to choose. It’s stable enough for first-timers, refined enough for experienced paddlers, and versatile enough to handle everything from fitness paddles to family missions and the occasional wave. Off the water, it’s just as practical: easy to transport, quick to pack down, and simple to store, without giving up the performance feel that makes you want to paddle more often.

Heat-Welded Rails

The Byron’s inner rail is bonded first, then mechanically fused with a 20mm PVC strip using heat and pressure welding. This creates a stronger, more reliable seal and greatly reduces the risk of leaks over time, making the risk of board failure virtually zero.

Sized in the Sweet Spot

Whether it's the 9'8 or the 10'6, it lands in the sweet spot for most paddlers. It balances easy stability with efficient glide, so it feels confidence-inspiring without feeling oversized or sluggish. Combined with Byron’s longboard-inspired outline, it becomes the go-to board for almost any adventure: cruising, exploring, fitness paddles, family missions, and the occasional wave.

Light and Rigid Performance

The Byron features a refined 4.7" slim profile that keeps you closer to the water while maintaining impressive stiffness. Advanced X-woven construction maintains exceptional rigidity, delivering a hardboard-like feel that responds to every stroke. The lower deck height improves balance and control, making the board feel more intuitive and connected. You get the portability and convenience of an inflatable with the performance of a rigid board—no compromise required.
