Prijon Vivoo Touring Kayak | Carbon Aramide

New for 2026, the Vivoo by Prijon (Carbon-Aramide layup) is a revolutionary touring kayak suitable for intercoastal and inland waters requiring versatile handling characteristics in an array of variable conditions. 

This compact kayak has a high volume bow and fore hull and a shallow aft to enable generous interior space for larger paddlers, seaworthiness and ample storage capacity, as well as swiftness in the way that it edges into turns. Its manueverable length makes it light to manage off the water, too. Plus its rocker provides plenty of surfing function and playfulness when initiated. A wonderful happy-medium architecture for river cruising, bay hopping, and rock gardening.

An integrated skeg provides enhanced tracking, especially in choppier waters and swells when stern mounted rudders struggle to reach the water. It is easy to adjust and built to last.

The Vivoo is 14 ft. 10 inches long and has a moderately aggressive vee shaped hull. Its aggressive bow height, sweep, and flare provides substaintial reward when navigating frothy waters and anxious seas, too. Coupled with approximately 2.5 inches of rocker, it planes nicely on a variety of conditions and feels zippy as it rides along.

The hull is designed with relaxed chines near the waterline. And its 23 inch width, when combined with the pronounced keel vee, only adds to its confidence-inspring stability. The marriage of so many unique attributes enables paddlers to maneuver the kayak quickly and effortlessly while maintaining impressive control in all sorts of situations.

It accelerates and carries speed efficiently when sitting flat in the water, but can turn sharply when on edge. The low rear deck allows easy rolling for the more advanced paddler, however when combined with its surprising stability it makes for an excellent kayak for self-rescue types, too.

The VIVOO is game for day trips and multi-day adventures alike. Waterproof bulkheaded bow and stern main hatches and a day hatch provide plenty of space for everything you need for a day trip or shorter journey.

The Prijon PR-T foam seating system is included. It sets a new standard for comfort and weight reduction. Weighing only 200 grams, the super light closed cell foam seat is impressive in its plushness, thermal properties, and support. The adjustable backband can be tightened or loosened on the fly. The thigh braces can be customized to create more or less contact. And the footbraces are reachable without needing much bend in your back.

The Vivoo is offered in GRP (Glass-Reinforced Plastic) and CA (Carbon-Aramide).

• Both materials are laminated by hand in the traditional way. They are more sensitive to hard or sharp impacts so they need to be cared for like you would other composite products.
• GRP is comprised of matted glass which provides incredible stiffness (speed and trueness), ease of repair, a beautiful smooth shine, and moderate pricing. While not the lightest of material options, GRP remains impressively lightweight as compared to polyethylene kayaks by upwards of 20%.
• Carbon-Aramide is made by combining carbon with Aramide fibers to create the highest strength to weight ratio available. It is remarkable at absorbing shocks and is the lighest of all material layups (up to 22 lbs. lighter than HTP).

Colors:

• The GRP layup comes standard with a white hull and colored deck of your choosing. You are welcome to choose a deck lines and seat cover color, too (red, yellow, or black). Please select your deck side color options when ordering below in conjunction with this reference guide.
• The CA layup's deck and hull sides can be colored to your liking--different or matching colors accepted. You are welcome to choose a deck lines and seat cover color, too (red, yellow, or black). The hull side will have a translucent finish that reveals the carbon-aramide fibers within. See reference guide for colors.
